Pool Ball Painting

  • My goals and intentions for this painting were to create all of the different shades of the colors and also creating a red line between the different shapes.
  • I accomplished my goals by looking very hard at the different objects that reflected in the pool ball and what colors those objects created.
  • I was surprised at how hard it was to see all of the different colors in the pool ball.
  • The most difficult challenge was to create all of the different colors with the paint and to not cross the red lines.
  • I met that challenge by looking very carefully at the different shapes and the different shading of the pool ball.
  • I experienced the shift from left brain to right brain when I focused on the shapes and different colors of the pool ball.
  • This picture really works with the colors of the shapes on the pool ball.
  • An artist that inspired me was Peggi Kroll because of her use of shapes and color mixtures.
  • Something I learned going into my next piece was to map out the red lines better.
  • If I had a do-over, I would map out the red lines better.
  • I feel the best things are the colors and the different shapes in the pool ball.

  1. Both paintings are fun and interesting to look at. You achieved a sense of VOLUME by your color shapes. the 25 strokes looks very realistic. Good Work
