- My goals and intentions for this project were to carve deep enough to show the detail of the design.
- I accomplished my goals by carving over each line twice and spreading the words out enough.
- I was surprised at how easily the Linoleum Gauge can slip if you are not careful.
- The most difficult challenge was the lettering and the garland by all of the details and curves.
- I met that challenge by taking my time to really carve everything deep enough without messing up the wording.
- I experienced the shift to right brain by focusing on each shape I was carving instead of the overall picture.
- My work really works with the fire place and garland.
- Something I learned to bring into my next art piece is to spread the lettering out and to not squish it all together.
- If I had a do-over I would make the borders bigger and more visible.
- I feel the best things are the fire and the garland.
